The Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI) in cooperation with the Private Investigators Association of Florida (PIAF), the South Florida Investigators Association (SFIA) and the North West Florida Investigators Association (NWFIA) has created the Joint Association Certification Committee (JACC), which proudly presents the Florida Certified Investigator program. The intent of the certification program is to recognize investigators in Florida who have demonstrated high standards of professionalism, experience and ethics and who are committed to improving themselves and the private investigation industry.

The Mission Statement of the Florida Certified Investigator program is to affirm the professionalism and credibility of the individual Florida Private Investigator, thus helping to protect the public. The program establishes high standards of knowledge in the practice of private investigations. The requirement of continuing education demands instruction in Professional Conduct and Ethics, Investigative Technique and Statutory Compliance. Florida Certified Investigators elevate the standards for the industry.
